OVERVIEW: The best autumn variety in the United States. Classic images, history, and brilliant reds, oranges and golds etcetera in Vermont and New Hampshire. Photo classics, barns and much more. The New England region is photogenic during most of the year, but when autumn brings along brilliant oranges, fiery reds and a touch of morning fog, this is the place to be.  In addition to our 'foliage foray' will be studies of covered bridges, classic farm scenes, and all that comes naturally with this rustic, historic, lush, golden and pleasant rolling land.  The trip takes in what I consider as the 'essentials' of Vermont and New Hampshire plus more besides . . . I hope you can join me this year.

FALL COLOR NOTES
It's not possible to be at all the prime spots during their peak color, but I have timed our trip for the best possible combination. Those we 'miss' will still yield striking images, as either the first color contrasts against greens, or the last color is subtle set against the grays and browns.

TRAVEL TO THE GATEWAY AIRPORT
o It is recommended that clients arrive a day early to be fresh for the trip, and to also counteract possible flight delays.
o Early arrival also enables you to explore the gateway city should you wish to do so.
o When booking flights, add a day for overnight travel or two days if also crossing the Pacific Ocean/International Dateline.
o The last day of the trip is the date you should arrange your flight home unless you plan to stay on. Thank you!

DAY 1  |  The MONADNOCK region
From your early arrival into Manchester, New Hampshire, we will go west to start our New England autumn sojourn in the area known as the Monadnock region in New Hampshire. It is dominated by 3,165 foot Mount Monadnock, whose modest elevation makes for a striking backdrop to the lower reaches. Covered bridges, picturesque villages and Mount Monadnock at sunrise across Thorndike Pond will be among our highlights here.
JAFFRAY, 1 night

DAYS 2 and 3  |  The WOODSTOCK region
Following a sunrise shoot and breakfast, we'll take in the remaining highlights of the Monadnock region this morning as we move north to Woodstock. First though, we'll go west on the picturesque West Rindge to Brattleboro route, and cross the Connecticut River into Vermont. Going north we'll take in Newfane, Grafton and the Weathersfield Birches plus more as we journey on to Woodstock for our two night stay.
On day 3 we'll start at sunrise at the famed Jenne Farm . . . perhaps the most photographed farm on the planet! In the region are other New England classics, and among those photo priorities will be the Quechee Gorge, and Sleepy Hollow Farm etcetera.
WOODSTOCK,  2 nights

DAYS 4, 5, 6, and 7  |
 BARRE and ST. JOHNSBURY region
Going north via Tunbridge, the Moxley covered bridge, Chelsea and Washington today, we'll pause in these and other places as we continue on to Marshfield which places us centrally for our loop trips of the next 3 days.
On days 5, 6 and 7 we will explore the Stowe area to the west; the region containing the 'calendar' villages of East Corinth, West Corinth, East Orange and Peacham to the south; and to the north, the region known as the 'Lakes And Farms Of The NorthEast Kingdom'.
MARSHFIELD,  4 nights

DAYS 8, 9 and 10  |  The WHITE MOUNTAINS
To northern New Hampshire via East Barnet, and North Woodstock today for the our sojourn amid the White Mountains in which Mount Washington stands tall at 6,288 feet . . . the highest peak in the eastern United States.
Days 9 and 10 sees us exploring the likes of Cathedral Ledge, Glen Ellis falls, the Albany covered bridge plus sunrise at Crystal Lake and more, in a region which will be vibrant with the 'fire' of Maples, Birches and Beech.
GLEN,  3 nights

DAY 11  |  WHITE MOUNTAINS to Manchester
Our last sunrise excursion of the trip this morning, then on south via many New Hampshire communities sitting pretty and almost dormant amid the color and autumn light. On to Manchester, New Hampshire via our last few rural images of the tour as we go.
Manchester,  1 night

DAY 12  |  Flights Home
Morning flights home from Manchester, New Hampshire.
